Eff-Shield Efflorescence Blocker
EFF-Shield from Spectrum is a semitransparent primer with excellent adhesion and with extremely high resistance to alkalinity, water, and efflorescence. It is formulated for use on hot stucco and concrete tilt up walls. EFF-Shield Primer is a breathable coating that will effectively neutralize the substrate, block any water intrusion, and give a uniform, non-porous substrate that will protect the final coat of paint from the effects of high alkalinity, thus stopping burn out and efflorescence. EFF-Shield is supplied in a semitransparent yellow color to facilitate the monitoring of the priming progress. The resin used in this product is a patented product developed initially for use as a curing membrane on newly poured concrete.
