Spectrum Exterior Wood Stain is a semi-transparent stain used to seal and weatherproof wood surfaces, or to add color to wood surfaces while accentuating the natural beauty of the wood grain.
Interior & Exterior New or Old Wood Surfaces
Rough and smooth siding
RESIN TYPE: Linseed Oil

Apply at 300 feet per gallon or less depending upon surface texture and porosity.
New Wood: Clean wood of all dirt, lumber markings, or any substance which may show through or inhibit penetration of the stain. Be sure all siding is of similar color before staining. Weathered or stained siding may require bleaching or replacement prior to application of the stain. Always test the color of the stain on the actual surface to determine final color as it will vary from surface to surface.
Old Wood: Clean wood of all dirt or substance which may show through or inhibit penetration of the stain. Any solid coating such as paint must be completely removed. Old semi-transparent stains should be wire brushed. Weathered or stained (mildew) areas may require bleaching prior to application of stain. Always test the color of the stain on the actual surface to determine final color as it will vary from surface to surface.
Brush or roll. Application by a low pressure spray is acceptable if immediately followed by brush or roller to ensure proper penetration. Always maintain a wet edge. Uniform application is a must to avoid lap marks. Stir stain frequently.
NOTE: High humidity or cool temperatures will slow drying. During such conditions, longer drying times must be allowed.
THINNING: Do not thin.
Touch in 6 hours
Recoat in 24 hours
CLEAN UP: Soap and water.
Air oxidation of this product and materials containing this product may cause spontaneous combustion. Any waste material containing this product should be washed immediately with soap and water or sealed in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations.
Do not apply when surface temperature, or ambient temperature is below 50 degrees F. Do not apply to exterior surfaces when rain is expected within 24 hours. Keep from freezing. Do not take internally. Keep out of the reach of children.
